About MeI have been very fortunate to have worked in the Independent school system in Toronto for 34 years; the first 13 years at Havergal College and then my remaining time at Crescent School. In addition to teaching math during those years, I became quite involved in coaching and drama. Now retired, it made sense to meld my interest in photography with sports and working with kids.
I have shot school sports such as rugby, soccer, ultimate frisbee, basketball, swimming, skiing, baseball, and track and field. I am very fortunate to have shot at Regional, Provincial and even National Tournaments over the past few years. I have always been an advocate of the role sports plays in developing the character of young adults. Working with schools and their athletic associations will continue to be a focus for Caught In Action Sports Photography. Although continuing to shoot for school events, I am also looking to expand into more personal sports photography by shooting a particular sports event for either an individual or team. This would involve coming to the event and taking images of you (or your children) or your team. All of the pictures will be provided to you along with the option of having your favourites printed and matted for framing. For more details go to my
Caught In Action page. The travel bug also got a hold of me about 15 years ago and have managed to visit 17 different countries in that time as well as travelling to both Canadian coasts. If you wish to see my travel galleries click here. As part of my travels,I had a wonderful experience doing three weeks of volunteer work in Tanzania at the Zion Home run by the amazing organization The Olive Branch For Children. The "Through Their Eyes" fundraising project was formed where photographs taken by the children are available for sale. To learn more click here. In the meantime, I invite you to browse my site and consider the possibility of hiring your own personal sports photographer and getting those action shots you have always dreamed of. |
